The manipulation of high-quality vector beams (VBs) with metasurfaces is an important topic and has potential for classical and quantum applications. In this paper, we propose a Fresnel zone (FZ) metasurface with metallic nanoslits arranged on FZs, which sets alternate binary geometric and propagation phases to cancel the incident spin component and focus the converted spin component (CSC). The rotation designs of nanoslits transform the incident polarization state on the conventional Poincaré sphere to VBs on the higher-order Poincaré (HOP) sphere. The two orbital angular momentum states of the CSCs were manipulated, and the focused HOP beams were generated. The experimental results demonstrate the broadband generation of arbitrarily focused HOP beams of high quality under the illumination of the red (632.8 nm), green (532 nm), and blue (473 nm) light. This work will be of significance for the applications of VBs in different areas, such as precision metrology, optical micromanipulation, and quantum information.

In this Letter, we fabricate integrated metasurface of encoded dynamic phases and experimentally generate nonconventional Kagome-type lattices of no-second-order phase vortices. The thin metasurface acts analogous to an integration of three conventional optical elements, i.e., six pinholes located at the vertices of two concentric regular triangles of size ratio 1:2, six transparent discs of different thicknesses to introduce a total phase shift difference of 6π, and a Fourier lens with a focal length in the micro-scale. A Kagome lattice with the required vortex distribution is realized at the “focal” plane of the metasurface under illumination of the plane wave.

利用多针孔孔径随机散射屏详细分析了夫琅禾费衍射区的散斑场中的相位和相位涡旋的统计特性,发现散斑相位涡旋的分布具有区域相似性和团簇现象,其中有2 个、4 个和6 个正负相位涡旋形成的独立单元。这些新现象与普通单一孔径形成的散斑相位涡旋的分布完全不同。改变随机散射屏前孔径上小针孔的数量和间距,散斑颗粒和相位涡旋的密度随着改变。

将散斑场的研究拓展到超快激光领域, 进而引入了超快散斑的概念。首先在理论上研究了超快脉冲照明随机粗糙表面在菲涅耳衍射区域形成的超快散斑光场及其自相关函数,然后利用光场的自相关、强度系综平均和强度自相关等统计函数导出散斑强度自相关函数。发现超快散斑的强度相关随着时间的推迟逐渐呈现出周期性振荡的特征,且振荡频率依次增大。利用对菲涅耳衍射区超快散斑场的计算模拟,发现了诸如散斑颗粒随时间逐渐增大、颗粒中出现频率越来越大的干涉条纹以及干涉条纹由观察面两侧向中心方向依次消失等一系列全新的动态演化规律。

Abstract
A practicable experimental method for measuring scattering on rough surfaces is reported. The scattered patterns are captured on a screen composed of two pieces of ground glass and then imaged using a charge-coupled device. The scattered intensity profiles are extracted by converting the patterns in real space into the wave vector space. Isotropic and anisotropic samples of the rough backsides of silicon wafer are investigated respectively, and their intensity profiles are measured. The profiles of the anisotropic sample are obtained by reading the pixels on the specific orientation curves. The parameters of the samples are extracted using angle-resolved light-scattering schemes and theories. The results well agree with measurements obtained using an atomic force microscope.

薄膜表面形貌定量研究有助于薄膜生长机理的认识。研究的薄膜是用激光脉冲沉积法(PLD)制备的ZnO:Ga(GZO)透明导电薄膜。由于GZO薄膜的生长是在远离平衡态情况下实现的,具备自仿射分形特征,可以用高度高度相关函数进行描述。通过对用原子力显微镜(AFM)获得的表面高度数据进行相关运算,定量地分析了PLD制备的GZO薄膜的生长界面特征,求出了描述粗糙表面的高度高度相关函数的三个重要参量W,ξ和α,发现制备的GZO薄膜生长符合Kuromoto-Sivashinsky生长模型。

建立了反射式随机表面的光散射特性实验测量系统, 利用多幅平均及叠加连接的方法, 得出入射角在45°~85°之间不同值时的光散射轮廓。结果表明, 随着表面入射角的增加, 光散射轮廓的半峰全宽逐渐减小。并且当入射角的增加到一定值时, 光散射轮廓出现中央亮斑。由数学上的对称下降函数, 推导出光散射轮廓的半峰全宽随散射光波矢的变化关系, 从实验测得角分辩的的光散射轮廓中提取了自仿射分形随机表面的粗糙指数。与原子力显微镜测量得到的粗糙指数进行比较, 两者符合得很好。

In this letter, we propose a method for the numerical calculations of the femtosecond laser pulse passed through a subwavelength aperture. The time-dependent laser pulse is decomposed into a series of monochromatic simple harmonic waves.For the light field of the harmonic wave with a single frequency, the numerical calculation is made based on the solutionof the Green's integral equation set of the electromagnetic waves. Such numerical solution is iterated for all the waves withdifferent frequencies, and all the numerical solutions are transformed into the light fields in the time domain by inverse Fourier transform. The light intensity distributions transmitted the subwavelength aperture are calculated and the results show the propagation of the light field is along the direction of the medium interface.
